In addition to providing for local community members and disaster relief The Salvation Army crusades against the horrors of human trafficking in the sex trade. This is a problem that is all at once epidemic and global. Even the United States is not exempt from this problem as the sex trade rakes in billions of dollars per year for the criminals running the rings. The Salvation Army is working tirelessly through legislative, awareness training, prevention training and development of survivor services that will help combat this problem.
This group has provided 500 homes to the victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Indonesia, clothing and other necessities for fire victims, food in hundreds of countries and so much more. Wherever there is a need to be filled you are certain to see a chapter of the Salvation Army trying their best to provide services.
